*The 1st International Conference on Social, Science and Technology (ICSST)*

The current COVID-19 pandemic has abruptly altered how humans live and perceive life, including how they interact with the advancement of digital technology. During the pandemic, digital technology plays a vital role in and alters social, science, cultural, economic and political elements. Consequently, there will be transformation occured during the pandemic and afterwards. The First International Conference on Social, Science, and Technology (1st ICSST) proposed  *"Transformation of Science and Culture during the Pandemic Era and Afterwards"* as its theme to provide a platform for teachers, researchers, and practitioners to share their insights and perspectives on this issue.
